I agree with your optimism. I definitely think if something bad happened to Carlie (other than the obvious) they (the family) would not let her be interviewed and filmed etc...

Deleted my post after I realized I read your's wrong. Guaranteed TBI has investigated this family thoroughly over this past week. They will allow CT to go home if they have found it safe. If there is more to the story, they will make sure she is taken care of.

I am still getting the vibe that this is bigger than one perv running away with his victim. I feel that with the things he purchased, (clothing, make up etc.) that there is a possibility that he is involved with either child pornography (making/distributing) or some sort of trafficking...

I was not under the impression the girls were still living with the Simpsons (even though the father has regained custody) Things are not adding up to me, and this woman seems awful calm... "don't believe what Uncle Gary says, you are supposed to be home".

JMO : Since so trusting...maybe he was not aware of the obsession until after the kidnapping...pictures found/cell phone data/computer data...something to show the obsession - not just the kidnapping.
