I think media contacting the family direct once it was announced a body was found is absolutely unforgiveable.

I assumed taking over her media accounts is about the abuse aspect from random people and not in terms of tracking NB... some of the comments I have seen are terrible so it makes sense..IMO

Is it possible that the person who found Willow and her phone just didn't think to look in the water? They didn't seem to act in much haste to the situation so to me it comes across as in that they didn't assume anyone would be in danger and therefore didn't look in the water? JMO.

Yes exactly that. We base what we see, most the time, on established memories and what we then expect so that is definitely a possibility IMO but it's fitting everything else together.
