Thank you. So many things about this case still bother me, I am local and friends with her family.

Perhaps my wording was a little harsh, my apologies. However I live in this area and am familiar with the terminology used to describe our various terrain anomalies, IE dry creek beds and how they are in local terrain. I agree, WS is amazing brain collective, that's why I joined in the first...

I too am a fighter for victims rights, Foxfire. In my professional life, I work with multiple agencies to put these types of predatory criminals behind bars, in my private life, I am VERY active with HSTNG and keeping the local missing in this area in the public's eye. However, trying to blame...

Here is a photo that has the area of recovery circled. I should point out that being fixated on the dry creek bed description and expecting it to be obvious is a little off base. It could be a long line of creek bed material or it could be a small stretch of residual ancient creek activity. My...

Didn't they also find human remains while investigating another crime, an officer involved shooting? That may be the 5th you were thinking of.

I find it highly insulting that you would point the finger at a single LE agency just because they don't wish to fulfill the public's morbid curiosity about the details of this case. His prior assaults were handled by other counties and agencies and the ONLY one responsible for this is JLM, not...

With the access to media lately and the fact that we live in a society that craves instant gratification, I know the waiting for the remains to be identified is frustrating. However we have to keep in mind that DNA analysis doesn't happen like on CSI, it takes time. LE has been doing a crawling...

Thanks! I know in other states that is the rule of thumb but wasn't sure about Va. :)

Correct me if I am wrong, they aren't required to disclose, but if asked about anything like that they are required to answer?

That unknown DNA was entered into CODIS, just like the DNA from MH that linked her killer to the Fairfax case. I am pretty positive that if JLM was a match it would have triggered it at the same time the link to MH became apparent.

I have smelled decomposing human remains, it is the most terrible thing you would ever want to smell.

Reposting a post I made about how our local weather can effect decomp. IMO it would be very probable that remains could be reduced to bones in that period of time in this area. The critters are preparing for winter and any easy, free food source will draw them fast.

I am pleased to see they have indicted him for his Northern Va crime, they need to charge him with anything that will keep him behind bars.
