If it is true the clothing was found in the water, couldn't he have
murdered them there? That would allow the blood to wash away. He could have murdered them and de-clothed them there, but moved the bodies where they were found.
I'm not sure what kind of phone she had, but most smartphones have a locator. Wouldn't it show the movement of the phone prior to it being turned off/battery running out, etc.?
