Hey Alioop - but after all that, looks like Qld is going back to QC, though current SCs can choose.

Apologies if this has already been posted - does anyone know when the police pics were taken?
I'm wondering if it was before or after GBC crashed his friend's car at Indro. One of the theories going around at the time suggested he crashed the car to try and cover up injuries on his chest.
Hi Liadan - you may not have read some of my other posts but I was referring to the marks on his neck re: the lantana and his chest I agreed with Dr Watson. Also re: the chest - I'd only seen the pic online, but when Ch9 showed it, it was more blown up and what stood out was a lot of petechia...
Meant to add - those two vertical marks on his neck look like lantana marks. I haven't been to Kholo creek recently, but many of us at B'field have lantana on our properties and will know the familiar marks it leaves both because it is rough/prickly to the skin but also because of the active...
My initial reaction was along the lines of Doc Watson - abrasions from rubbing with other material and it looked like something he may have acquired while/if he disposed of Allison's body around Kholo creek. I just had an image of him sliding on the ground at one point, that's what the abrasions...
And perhaps too, OW was holding out, desperately, that the Chief Magistrate would decide otherwise and not commit GBC for trial. A trial is going to be incredibly demanding - emotionally, financially, time etc and she's just had a small taste of it at the committal.
Hi Humdinger
It caught my attention because it was a qualifier, it wasn't an emphatic 'I believe' or 'He is'. We say things in the heat of the moment which can be telling or at least, interesting. Many of us believe OW knows the truth and so something like this stands out.
For me it sounded...
A big difference between OW saying "I still believe my brother is an innocent man" and what she could have said e.g I believe my brother is ... OR My brother is ...
Her statement seemed to catch in the air as she said it.
What a difference colour photos make - much more compelling and it's...
Yes, this also stood out to me too Thinking! Couldn't help but gasp out loud. For Allison to be asking that question and now we're all wondering the same thing for her, for something far worse, it's all a bit freaky and distressing.
'Tis true, my dear Dr Watson - a sad and lamentable fact re:the state of spelling, especially amongst those who have a good education. I too am a member of DNA :blushing:
But at the very least it's ironical and a tad ... what's the word ...? Can only hear the 'Twilight Zone' music playing.
I also felt awkward reading Allison's diary notes, given they were private never intended for mass consumption, such personal thoughts and feelings.
One thing which raised the hair on the back of my neck - apologies if it has already been noted, am behind with reading the posts - was this...
Yet, even if Australia has ratified a treaty, it has no force in our law unless it has been enacted in our legislation.
Qld does not have a Charter of Rights as, for example, Victoria does.
As I understand it, judges may be cognisant of human rights etc, however, they are not 'obligations'...
And while we're on that topic re: the police, when I spoke to them about searching our property which backs onto the bush and is difficult to access in some places, they asked if we had running creeks, so they knew something even back then. I don't think it's a coincidence that they stressed...
