I've been waiting for this trial for so long, very few cases in recent years have been so angry and horrifying to me. The defense really seemed inept yesterday given the lackluster 2-points (1. Jessica said 'Eric' 2. Phone gps isn't a completely exact science), so far what the prosecution has...
Such a fascinating trial, the prosecution was fantastic, I thought the defense was very weak throughout, but their closing argument was definitely their highlight. I think they prosecution proved their case and Carter deserves a guilty verdict, but I have no idea what the judge will decide...
Second day, this doctor has taken the stand and further humiliates the defense. I am so impressed with the prosecution in this trial, especially in regards to cross-examining this BS and making him look like a fool. The defense had some interesting, compelling moments last week, but the have NOT...
Wow, I thought the defense was weak last week, but today was just embarrassing and downright infuriating. I was interested in the "expert witness" initially, but DAMN did they drop the ball. I'm sure this will weigh negatively on the judge, it certainly did throughout the testimony.
Yes. I agree. That, and the other incredibly damning text, other than instructing Conrad to get back into his truck would be: "Sam, [the police] read my messages with him I'm done,"... "His family will hate me and I can go to jail."
I've been discussing and arguing this case all week with several friends, some of which have perhaps a reasonable hesitation as to if Carter should be prosecuted, albeit less informed. I started the trial on Tuesday with an open mind from both sides, but it didn't take long for me to decide that...
I have watched every second of the trial since Tuesday, very compelling because of its nearly unprecedented nature. I have to say, trying to take in the trial from the perspective of an unbiased juror, I think the defense has done a pretty poor job, hell, Michael McCarthy's defense lawyers are...
This has been a doe case that is been particularly fascinating to me for years...the fact that is possibly linked to the LISK is wild. This would certainly indicate that she was more than likely a prostitute, given the MO, been a lot of his other victims weren't prostitutes, and the fact she had...
I'm glad this is getting so much attention on Websleuths, the general media hasn't seemed to care too much about this case...which really is a shame, the more eyes on it, the closer we are to getting answers in an absolutely horrific and puzzling story. Keep it going you guys!
For the time...
I'm just hearing about this case today. Extremely odd and frustrating underreported. This is a true mystery every sense of the way. If anyone is better at doing internet research than me, I'm trying to find where she is buried as I'm adding her name to findagrave.com, I was able to obtain pretty...
I'm just hearing the news today. Bittersweet information, I expect a potential plea deal where she reveals where the body is. Most of the evidence seems circumstantial, so they may just go all in, but the circumstantial evidence seems Scott peterson level. So I doubt it.
The solving of the Jacob Wetterling case, as devestating as it was, has given a lot of people hope for getting these prominent aduction cases solved. I think this case is chief among them, a horrifying story that demands closure and answers. I have a good feeling about next year...
