I can't find a hole in this theory...

I absolutely agree - the final few lines of the note are florid and melodramatic, almost as if the author was relishing their own 'poesy'. In an age without the internet, I still persist in viewing the dictionary opened at 'incest' as a desperate attempt to find some information about what had...

The "war",what was it all about

Incidentally, has anyone had 'She's Buried in The Cellar' for SBTC yet?

The "war",what was it all about

Chrishope, to isolate one moment, the 911 call, I am curious as your interpretation 'If PR/JR were working together, IMO they would not have called 911 with the body in the house. Since PR called, she must not be in on it. Therefore, JR must be the author.' IS it agreed that the call was...

I can't find a hole in this theory...

I toyed with the idea that John had planned to leave the house and dump the body BUT I felt he would need an accomplice to swipe the cash. He gets jumpy when the phone rings during the morning. Was there a third party planned to phone who may or may not have been aware that the plan had changed?

The "war",what was it all about

I concur with much of what you say - I think I've pushed my initial reactions to suddenly switching to BDI having read a few bits of Kolar quoted as far as they can go. I am veering into the arena of forced supposition so will go away and do some more homework as I am straining and straying into...

James Kolar's New Book Will Blow the Lid off the JonBenet Ramsey Investigation

The flashlight, to me, has a similar provenance as the pineapple because of the response they both elicited i.e. no idea about the pineapple and no idea where the flashlight had come from. Yes they had wiped it down BUT they didn't know where BURKE had got it from (Burke was sent to his room and...

James Kolar's New Book Will Blow the Lid off the JonBenet Ramsey Investigation

I agree about the lawyers now I've had a day to mull it over - I don't think the Ramseys would have told them the full facts at all. They would have definitely phoned for legal and medical advice but would not have given much more detail than it was an accident that could look suspicious. Hence...

James Kolar's New Book Will Blow the Lid off the JonBenet Ramsey Investigation

Yep that's the direction I've gone in now. The finishing off thing seems implausible. As I don't know the fine details of the ligature and depth of wounds on the neck etc, could someone briefly explain whether it was possible for Burke to have the strength to make those marks? 'Oops, not dead...

Knowing all you know today about this case who do you think really killed JonBenet?

The fibres from John's shirt inside her panties could theoretically have been introduced during a final preparation of the body that he was in charge of. I find it interesting than when he was questioned about this he was immediate and adament that there couldn't be any because in his mind he...

JBR dead by the time Patsy finds her. Burke made the garotte with his penknife, the paintbrush he'd just abused JBR with and cord. Why not remove JBR? Patsy was so horrified she couldn't move or touch JBR and John wouldn't have wanted too much more contact either. possibly they didn't discover...

The "war",what was it all about

Mmmm - it's baffling! I thought the sexual assault with the missing piece of paintbrush had been agreed (I am obviously making grand assumptions!). I presumed that a) because it is missing/hidden b) Burke's 'whittling' knife was discovered near the body c) as another piece (I think deliberately...

    The cross-fingerpointing defense

Returning to the opening of this thread, I think the inconclusive grouping of fingerprints was certainly a big factor. However, I reckon if any prints were found on the ligature, body, nightie etc and they came from both parents, then I feel that a prosecutor would have pressed hard to open some...

The "war",what was it all about

So much of that makes much sense. Why stage a body that was intended never to be found? Perhaps it was intended to be found - just not in the house. Later, after the ransom had been collected and once the body had been dumped in some nearby forest. If this were the case, perhaps the plan was for...

James Kolar's New Book Will Blow the Lid off the JonBenet Ramsey Investigation

Just one other thing Chrishope - you observe that - 'If they had enough wits between them to cover up at all (e.g. were able to do some planning and carry it out) then they had enough wits to try to make it look convincing. The RN along with a body is unconvincing. The Rs are not stupid people...
