Bill Wiese's statement read out to the court, which is detailed in the Chicago Tribune article, was damning. As most people already suspected, the money HM received from her mother's estate to pay for "legal fees" was in effect used for bribes. I'm glad the judge believed him.

It's a pity all the other press articles are concentrating on HM requesting a reduced sentence. The Sunday Times UK article was really hard-hitting and detailed what she had done to her mother in the years leading up to the murder. It makes grim reading and it is clear that HM has never shown...

Excellent article in the Sunday Times (London) newspaper today. Sorry I can't link to it because it is subscription-based. It recounts the whole story of Heather Mack and her relationship with her mother. I truly hope she receives the full 28 year sentence that the Prosecutors are demanding...
