Ether (QuickStart) is used to start Diesel engines from cold, you give them a blast of QuickStart when turning over or they don't start unless the block heater is plugged in.

It had what looked to me like a riello burner (red box) on one end of it (similar to what you'd find on an oil furnace). Those have built in igniters, and need electricity for the igniter and the pump.

The only time I've ever seen a "tow truck" towing a trailer was via the hydraulic cradle. Many tow trucks are regular pickup trucks in that they don't have the boom and hook, but extending out from underneath is the cradle. I doubt a tow truck from a towing company would have a truck in bed...

Personally don't think TB and DM connection if there were why not just go stright to Tb? The fact the there was another test drive day before suggests to me they were planning a truck jacking for whatever reason, to get a truck, to get a thrill, to see if they could pull it off, etc.

A 3500 series truck will pull a 3500 series truck on a trailer no issue at all. Done it many a time.... Yes a 3500 truck is almost same size as any other truck, f150, silverado, ram 1500, etc not a huge difference.

Pretty sure I read that LE found the number of the phone used to call TB and searched records and found the other seller and phoned him, as well as any other numbers that they would have called from the bogus name phone whomevers it was DM or suspect 2 or other who dropped them off.
