Agreed. Plus, there is no reason to provide the defense another theory of QT not doing it. The evidence is overwhelming that he did it, so now it’s just a game of lawyership. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry and thanks. I misunderstood you. I don’t recall any exhaustive prior discussion on a theory that JC personally thought she had been in a wreck while in fact not having been in a wreck. Thanks for your patience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FYI, the wreck theory has been bounced around ad nauseam in prior threads. If you’re interested in that theory, keyword searches could help you find discussions really interesting to you. For me, this idea has been soundly explained away. MOO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If I was a volunteer first responder with no experience or training with this type of extreme scene and medical state, and young, I would be feeling terribly guilty for possibly throwing this case off course. Youth and inexperience breeds overconfidence, and that may have been the proximate...

Worst case scenario is a NG verdict now, because then QT can never be tried again. Both hung jury and G verdict would lead to retrial. Well, I should say “likely” lead to retrial if it’s a G verdict. I just don’t see how the state can defend this jury’s competence and good faith on appeal...

Ive always seen individual polling but not by name here in Mississippi. Verifies the form, as was obviously important here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

White folks in the Delta (or near it, as here) just think cotton in full bloom is pretty and regional. I’m sure it was innocent, although I understand that for a national stage it was pretty tone deaf. I wish LE had handled that conversation better, though. That’s the worse problem that makes it...

I keep going back and forth in my head as well (confident —> doubt —> confident —> etc.). However, I think I am sometimes confusing the issue of “what really happened” with “did QT commit the charged offenses.” It’s so frustrating to lack so many details! Still, that’s not the issue at bar. I...

Is the trial going to resume today? If so, what time (local)? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the news articles are not quality reports. They say that the trial will not be moved geographically, which was requested, but it will be delayed about six months. I haven't seen any reason why the judge postponed the trial. Anyone know?

The "smoke" could just be hot vehicle exhaust on a cold night lit up by headlights. Looks white and wispy to me like that. Seems like fire would produce darker smoke.

The only reason I would wait to file is if I believed the suit would detract from a productive investigation, but that belief is inconsistent with the allegations that would be made in such a suit, i.e., that LE made egregious errors that have prevented justice and merit punitive relief. It's...
