Maybe some buying/selling/trading going on with this outfit and others in the area. I think this might play into the money laundering part of the investigation. Not at the fault of the surplus stores. But I can see him purchasing 10 helmets for $100 and the Explorers paying $1000 for them.
In fairness to the Mayor about the trip to San Diego. I heard it was a group of about 10 people that went on that trip, mostly couples. The media made it look like it was just the 2 buddies out on a road trip.
BBM
The first part BBM...The FLPD has recently lost 2 from the roster, LTG and Behan. Adding 3 new is not unreasonable, IMO.
The rest that was BBM seems to imply that we knew what was going on. Hindsight. The average citizen would have no idea of what was going on backstage.
The mayors comments are still fishy to me. Considering the meeting the day before, the text the night before, and the text the morning of the suicide. He went on to say..I'm paraphrasing here..
About the meeting: 'We talked about what would happen to the Explorer program after he was gone.'...

I'm just trying to find a reason for that first shot. I don't think he intended to kill himself with that shot. So why do it? To enhance the look of a struggle? maybe. But either way he knew that after that shot, he would have to he would have to shoot himself again.
I was thinking the "test"...
This just made me think of something. I wonder if the first shot to the vest was kind of a test shot. To see how far the gun would travel if he held it a certain way. Like with a loose grip with just his fingertips.
With what came out today, it certainly might change a few things. But legally there might not be any options other than pay the 75% of his salary. Can you charge a dead man with a crime? Him being charged and convicted would be the only way they could reduce pension. Someone correct me if I'm...
