I believe the discrepancies in the reported times lies in the time zone differences. The article states clearly that T Mobile is the carrier that TE uses. It is known that T Mobile uses PST for recording of time. Thus if the last recorded ping was 3:47 am (PST) it may really be 6:47 am (EST)...

Upon viewing HE's SM accounts, I agree with some others that she was personally conflicted. But who is not at that age? She may be more poetic than most; however, I doubt she was depressed. I believe she was searching for some level of identity. Much like one who is in college and switches...

Previous posters have asked about HE having a tattoo. In her twitter account she seems to have posted a picture of half her tattoo located on her upper right thigh. It looks like a colorful skull, maybe a couple of inches big. Can anyone confirm that it is her? Here is the twitter link...

Perhaps AM pulled over to the turn around in front of Cannery Loop to check a text when RAT decided to bump her car from behind. RAT and AM got out to check for damages. RAT suggests that they pull over onto Cannery Loop to call the police. Once on Cannery Loop, AM gets out again to assess...

Stopping on Cannery Loop while heading in the direction toward Charlottesville makes no sense. Route 29 is a four lane highway (two in each direction) split by a tree lined median. Cannery Loop loops off of the southbound side 29. She would have to find a spot to turn across the median and...

The news tonight stated that police do not think the two cases are connected.

The following are rivers north of Lovingston and near Charlottesville (information obtained from Wikipedia). Having lived in both Nelson county and Charlottesville, I am sure RAT knew of them. 'The Mechums River rises in northern Nelson County and flows for the remainder of its course in...

I drove down 29 south today and thought (without checking sources) that the fundraiser event would have been at the Liberty gas station. It was eerie being at the location AM was last seen. Additionally I drove north on 29 toward Charlottesvile looking for any possible spots to potentially...

 Thanks! I thought it was a bit snarky myself. Being new to the forum I had no idea if I did something offensive. Anyway I presume the forum to be based on speculation and facts, hence sleuthing. It is fun to gather everyone's perspective, like pieces of a puzzle, and come up with...

Fair enough. I agree we do not want to convict on the court of public opinion. However, this case really is not receiving much attention in the Charlottesville area. UVA students are just returning and no one I have talked to has even heard of the case. There are no flyers in the places I...

I do agree though that the media tends to sensationalize hot topics. But I honestly feel the article was trying to write a story about his overall purported character. FYI, it was not even the headline story. Children going back to school lead the paper. I think that is disappointing.

The fact that he was an avid car buff may attest to how RAT proceeded in concealing AM. Several sleuths on this forum have already tried to make the connection upstream citing junkyards and his experience in working at a used car lot. His past personal encounters could be used in a criminal...

It seems that he may do a lot of enraged thinking in his car and must spend a ton of time in it. I would venture to say he spent more time in his car than in his camper.

The personal accounts are consistent with the facts. The point is that people who specifically knew of him throughout the years and in different locations report him to be very unfriendly. I can only recall one person who stated he was nice and that was probably because she was actively paying...
