Heinrich claimed he loaded the gun AFTER (the assault) and after being "spooked" by a police cruiser. Not sure I buy that. No way to prove it or disprove it now.
Not being familiar with the assault/murder sight...can anyone comment on just how desolate or remote this area was in 1989? How close the nearest home may have been? From the maps it looks as though the assault/murder sight could be seen from the roadway...is this accurate? Would it be likely...
We got to go home. Why didnt Jacob go home? That was the hardest part, Troy Cole, another victim, said.
That's the part I have the hardest time trying to grasp. Why didn't Jacob get to go home...and were there others that did not get to go home either?
There had just been so much negative talk about people questioning the Wetterling's decision to sign off on the plea, I did not want anyone to think that was my intent. You were not rude...I'm from NJ, lol, I'm an expert on rude!!! Nice to meet you too!
"The dollar amount meant nothing to us," Kim Goldman told CNBC. "We were just thrilled that 12 people unanimously determined that he was the killer of Ron and Nicole. The rest was just paper."
Don't want to get off topic though...I was wondering if Jared pursued his civil suit, possibly...
With all due respect I was not questioning the Wetterling's decision. I don't see how you came to that conclusion from my post. I referred to DH in rather base terms, and was drawing the distinction that the Wetterling's, Patty Wetterling in particular, takes the high road...I am not that graceful.
I think the Goldman's considered it a morale victory when they won the civil suit. Fred Goldman was hell bent on seeing justice served on behalf of his son.
I can't see the Wetterling's subjecting themselves to that type of circus of horrors. The Wetterlings got the answer they wanted...
I asked earlier if the Civil lawsuit filed against Heinrich by Jared would be impacted by the plea bargain agreement in the criminal case? Does anyone know the answer. Also could the Wetterlings file a civil suit against Heinrich like the Goldmans did against OJ Simpson?
Unable to feel guilt or remorse, incapable of real human attachment, not concerned about wrecking other's lives and dreams, pathological liar, lack of empathy...a true sociopath. Thank God this evil, dangerous, rabid monster is in a cage where it belongs.
I agree with a previous poster...I...
Just read through the whole transcript, very overwhelming. I can't imagine how the Wetterling's sat through this.
I do have one question for now.. I believe Jared filed a civil suit against DH. If that is true, would this plea agreement have any legal bearing on that suit?
I thought it was reported that DH went home, after he shot Jacob, and returned a few hours later with the shovel he retrieved when he went home. Can anyone confirm?
One of my main questions was whether or not DH actually loaded his gun at the time he claimed a police cruiser drove by and...
I got the impression from previous information that DH was quite the roamer and lurker at night. I would imagine he had a lot of "alone" time, especially at night to scope out many different locations within a certain radius, including desolute areas.
Traits of a sociopath..Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis.
I wonder how many times DH repeated his version of the story to authorities, or if they were able to question him at any point?
