    Washington writers detail haunting, true-crime story of Susan Cox Powell

    I bought the book this morning and have started reading it. It is very well written. Those of us who have followed this story from the beginning here on Websleuths already know most of it. It is a story that will always haunt me. Such a tragedy!!

    I just finished reading Jennifer's book and it was very good. I actually liked it better than Ann Rule's book.

    I drove past the cemetery yesterday and saw the angel. It is beautiful. It is visible from the road on 9th St.

    The angel was placed yesterday, December 3, and will be dedicated on Thursday, December 6. This is also the 3rd anniversary of Susan's disappearance.

    I was a little disappointed that there was nothing in the book that hadn't been discussed here at WS. But for someone who hadn't followed the case, the book provides a good summary. JMHO

    Fatal Friends, Deadly Neighbors by Ann Rule is now on sale. The first story in the book is about Susan and Josh. I just started reading it this morning and could hardly put it down.

    Alina did not testify, but Jennifer (Powell)Graves did. She testified for the prosecution this morning.

    Some of the local radio stations have played the 911 tapes again this morning. Everytime I hear that operator, it makes my blood boil (and sick, too, knowing the outcome).

    I have wondered about these things also. In the beginning, the WVPD did not want any citizen searches IIRC. I always thought that they should have contacted gas stations, motels, etc along any routes that may have been passable during the storm that evening to see if anyone recalled seeing JP...
