Based on the information we have, this has been my thinking as well, particularly if E and X were in the front bedroom which is in an odd spot based on the floor plan (if you didn't have previous knowledge of the house).

I'm wondering the same thing - how thorough was the search of the house. Did they just take computers etc or did they do a full search. I don't feel like it was a complete sweep.
