Not sure what theories have been tossed around so sorry for repeats.
X&E got home at 1:45. Would they have gone to kitchen to eat?
K&M got home at 1:56.They brought food. Had they eaten by time of murders? In kitchen or bedroom? Could they have encountered X&E in kitchen or even possibly...
It could be Madison was attacked first in her sleep. Kaylee woke up and fought back. Thus, she got worse injuries. It wouldn’t necessarily mean she was the target.
Had he not stepped forward and talked to police, would he have ever been connected? Did his wife tell him he’d best tell them?
On hindsight it makes one wonder why this took so long. Witnesses only describe one male. One male came forward and his story matched the others. Everybody, including...
Watching a news video that showed the police tents, you can pretty well figure out where his remains were found. An area called Big Slough Preserve which is just north of his car. Look at page 2 of:

To answer my own question, it appears when police ticketed (or left a note) Brian's car, it was at 6968 Reisterstown Road. According to a website map, his remains were found very nearby. We've been told the area had been under water until shortly before he was found. Was it when he went hiking?
We know Brian's Mustang was ticketed by LE and picked up by his parents. Was his body found near the parking location or had he hiked a long distance? In flat areas like Florida, he could have walked a long distance in a few hours (I've hiked 13 miles myself over mountainous terrain). I'm...
Here's an editorial from a couple of days ago that pretty well sums up the case:
Editorial: Triple homicide of Short family a wound that cannot heal until solved
For what it's worth, I also think it was pre-planned. The phone line location was easily visible from the road. You can look at old Google Streetview images and see where it was. It would have been dark, obviously.
Here's one:

Either way, one story says a rifle and a shotgun were seized as evidence. Another says a .22 caliber shotgun and some of those can fire regular .22 bullets.
One story says a rifle and a shotgun. Another says a .22 caliber shotgun. I gather these guns can also fire .22 bullets rather than just shotgun shells. There are apparently very small shotgun shells the size of a .22 mostly intended for shooting rats...
Another story says police took a .22 caliber shotgun. I'd never hear of such a weapon (not that I know much about guns), but there is such a thing. It apparently doubles as a rifle. So was the gun found at the scene actually the murder weapon? Was it Michael's or did the killer bring it with...
