I am local to this, and LE does not discuss it. The entire town believes that the mother should, at minimum, be charged with neglect.

I live about 15 minutes from Coquille. This is so very sad and tragic. I am greatful that our police have actually made an arrest in this case. Coquille police seem to be notorious for letting cases go cold. This is a link to our local newspaper...
