Does anyone think that the letter was written, (and taken to the post office that next morning for postmark) by someone in one of the families so that perhaps the police would then take the case seriously? It would explain how the letter arrived to TT so quickly.

Why are all of these in June? It's as if there is a Rodeo circuit or something similar that travels this area during the month of June.

Well it looks like she was sentenced in April 1978 but I don't know for how long. The record I found from Dallas County gave a code of JCJP= (Plea of not guilty, found guilty by the Jury and sentenced by the Jury.) There is an appeal on file that gives her birthdate/1938 and says she is age 70...
