Understood. That's entirely possible. The .30-30 fires a single projectile, which would make it nearly impossible for most shooters to use it for skeet. A shotgun, when used for skeet, fires many smaller projectiles in a pattern, which makes it the gun of choice for such activities.

If Regional Databases exist, they are separate from CODIS, and would have to be individually searched. CODIS does not maintain non-badguy DNA.
