At what point will we get the full story? At trial? Pre-trial? I will be surprised if this isn't an attempted rape case and they just haven't said it yet. Are there any cases like this where the goal is simply murder? Meaning a white man kidnapping a woman who doesn't rape or attempt to rape...
Welcome back, Mac. I heard from another local he lived 2 doors down from her. Do you know if that's true? Did you ever see Bryce around? He'd be hard to miss with his height and blond hair. He strikes me as a bodybuilder kinda dude? Not like full on, but that he lifted weights. Hopefully...
I still feel pretty strongly he lured her into his apartment, which I believe was 2 doors down, and was ready to attack. It just makes sense. But, he's a monster and a psychopath so maybe I'm getting it wrong. I also think he raped her in one way or another, as I've simply never in my life...
I've literally never heard of a case like this where rape wasn't involved. Since they upgraded it to 1st degree murder, I'm kinda wondering if they're just waiting to add more charges.
She does have a dog, but by all reports she locked her apartment at 6:23 AM, as usual, to head to the garage for work. Bryce lived 2 doors down from her, per a neighbor. Her cell phone turned off at 7 AM. It's certainly possible she took the dog out for a walk and he was waiting, but I've been...
I think they knew each other as neighbors, but again I'll bet money he said 'hey, can you come take a look at...' fill in the blank, "a kitten I found," or "help me lift this table" or whatever. She went in willingly, he overtakes her from behind and/or pulls a gun. She didn't have a chance. He...
I'm in the area, they are wonderful. I feel like in the past few years, especially, they have had new leadership or training because they really seem to care and are on issues very quickly. They busted a big catalytic converter operation, also they keep busting up sex trafficking rings in the area.
That's a shame because the other side of the coin is, Bryce would have been caught on camera and probably wouldn't have done this (at least to Melissa) if he knew he was on camera. As I said in another post, all us homeowners have Ring cameras, and yes of course we probably have creeps watching...
I get that angle, but as a homeowner, me and all my neighbors have cameras. On the other hand of this, if there were ring cameras there, would Bryce have dared take her knowing he was on camera leading her into his apartment never to exit?
But to speak to the creepy point, yes I think the...
No worries. I didn't mean to assume you thought religion had any play in this. This is solely my hunch, based on his photos. I'm not blaming religion as much as how some folks with ultra-religious upbringings are taught to keep their emotions in check, pray the sin away, and the parents would...
Does anyone have confirmation where her body was found? To the neighbors, you would have seen a white van, most likely, and perhaps forensics. My hunch is he lured her in, did the unthinkable, had a plan in place to dispose of her, but the police acted so quickly he may not have been able to...
I posted to this elsewhere, but our police are getting better about this. I think just like things have changed with responses to active shooters (i.e., not waiting outside the school but barging in and confronting), our police realizes that when someone known to be responsive and responsible...
