If submerged, water pressure is too great to open a door. Best bet is to try to break a window or wait for water to fill the vehicle and pressure to equalize so doors will open.
I didn't see any sign of it rolling (broken glass, plastic) but I guess it would depend on speed and trajectory. I suppose she could have rolled and landed in the lake. I'm still leaning towards over - correcting though.
I wondered that as well. One thing I can say is that t he marks I saw are in the middle of the road and don't appear to lead anywhere. I didn't pay any attention to them at first. It took me a minute to realize how 4 identical, somewhat s - shaped marks could be made in the first place...
OT: I'm a former Texas boy, so I've felt like we have something in common. I've met a lot of great people on WS. That's the positive side of the heartbreak.

I haven't heard which one for sure. If they were her skid marks, she would have been traveling south, and it would be the lake that is shaped like a 7.
I'm not trying to add to the confusion here, but I drove by that intersection this morning. There is a set of skid marks there, but they are north of the intersection. I'm not sure if they are from Kristy's vehicle or not, but what I saw were two sets of skid marks, which would indicate an...
I remember early on the Find page, there was a mention that she was possibly headed to a location on Gemlich Rd, which is SE of the intersection of Pelzer and Mt. Gilead. If I remember right, somebody overheard her mention Gemlich Rd. That Could possibly explain how she ended up there...
I made the same mistake. I found what I thought was a vehicle partially submerged in a lake near the VFW. My wife even thought it was too. I started looking at the image dates, and they didn't match up. I rolled back the images on Google Earth, and it turns out it was just a boat.
