There is probably more than a few trap lines in that area. Those can have small camps/cabins. Which I wonder if they have stumbled upon someone’s catch and maybe surviving that way?

If they are sneaking around unprepared for what to expect and startle a bear it could end badly for them. I see plenty of bears on my way to work. No misunderstanding here nor did I use the word “charge”.

I think that if they are on foot at the dump they will have a bear encounter sooner than later. They might just be giving themselves up. We do the same here in northern Saskatchewan, you go to the dump you go in a vehicle.
