It is interesting that they have blurred out the driver side in the CCTV footage. If the person believed to be driving the car is the person currently in custody, why would they be inclined to blur the footage? I suspect they are trying to figure out what the mother was doing during the 2-3...

Well, obv. But you could make the same argument about any criminal before they're caught. The fact that he made steps to remove his fingerprints points fairly strongly to the idea that he was running from the law.

I would think that if someone innocently gave him a lift and harm came to him afterwards, that that person would come forward and let them know where he was dropped off.

I think there's quite a strong similarity between Joseph Newton Chandler and the artist drawing of the suspect. Plus, both were in Ohio.

Does anyone really believe that he's still alive? I don't understand the arguments for going AWOL. Is there any previous indication that he'd do something like this? Anything that would suggest that he's still alive but is choosing to stay missing?

IMO, it's unlikely. I can't see the two distinct moles in Maria's photos (poor quality, admittedly). But the bigger thing is that Maria had apparently been pregnant before, and the autopsy performed on SC Jane determined that she had never been pregnant.

If the cellphone was planted by the perpetrator, as has been suggested, there'd be DNA and fingerprints on it that don't match Sherri or anyone else who'd have contact with her phone. But I'm venturing a guess they'll find no such evidence.

Also, let's be real. If she had gotten down to just 87lb, there's no way she wouldn't have been severely dehydrated, and she would have been admitted to hospital for fluids, rather than not admitted and released after a once-over. KP's statements don't match up to the facts.

The LE statement didn't confirm KP's comments though. They essentially said that they were aware of the description, not that it was accurate.
