I agree that could cause someone to act in that manner. It’s hard to know what happened not knowing the people involved and their character.

I think it’s possible she went home for something like a package being delivered. This is unusual for her. Maybe she had a stalker that broke in, not expecting her to come home at that time. Just an option that’s being in the back of my mind as I read about this.

I agree. If she happened to lose the baby she could mentally write it off as an accident. An abortion is a big deal to most people and something she was probably taught was wrong.
