I was actually just discussing this with my mother-in-law earlier, but assuming that you haven't been to Shasta Lake, it is very murky and hard to see anything that goes about 1 foot into the water. I have gone there many times to swim over the summer and it always seems like its pretty murky...- kittykakes

This is my first time posting anything on this whole site. I have read through all 7 threads now, (it's taken me a bit). I am from Redding, CA and I have to say that as a women I don't go anywhere by myself in this town anymore. I moved here in 2011 and this place has gotten progressively worse...- kittykakes
