There was a website for Australian GPS/enthusiasts users with his email address on it with a reference to Huntingdale. You can find it via googling or somewhere within this massive thread.
So I wouldn't rule out anything to do with body locations since he was a keen GPS plotter/enthusiast.
Same, if posting a frame/screengrab can you please encircle the area where you think there is an object of interest..i.e. the car. Im using a 42" TV to look at it and I can't see **** lol

I live in Southern River(1km away from Gay St) and if I were to dispose of a body it would be around Forrestdale lake as its only 3 streets away(albeit semi long streets) with minimal housing in between. If I chose to do it in the hills, it would be up past Lumen Christi high then up Mills Road...

If he was savvy enough he would use a VPN with TOR, then again we're speculating on something that really can't be...
It doesn't work like that. It doesn't use servers...just other peoples IPs that are also running TOR and bounces between multiple hops before getting directed to the intended IP.
There is DEEP PACKET INSPECTION, but I dont know enough about it to give further comment.
