Local area to me as well. Local TV news talked of internal injuries. They also said his parents took him to the hospital Saturday morning due to illness and they transferred him to St Louis. So sad!

I can NOT even imagine my kids in an infant seat that long. Plus they would have HATED that reclining position.

Exactly! That rear facing seat would be so close to the drivers seat none of this makes sense to me!! When convertible car seats are rear facing they take up so much space!

I have a back up camera in my crossover SUV. I STILL turn and look out the rear window and use my mirrors too.
