Yes I was at the zoo. What an emotionally draining day, I can only imagine how the families are feeling. I tried to just sneak in and sneak out because I didn't want to be on camera and wanted to lay low.

Do you think that's part of the delay? I can't imagine the judge or jury would care about the documentary team's needs but ya never know.

Has anyone who follows trials ever heard of a judge delaying a verdict reading for longer than a few hours? I don't usually follow trials so I'm not sure if this is ever an issue.

The doc team has been in the courtroom filming every day. It seems very unethical and just plain wrong.

When I spoke with Patrick McStay this morning he told me it was due to two of the jurors needing to leave early today. At this point I suppose the reason doesn't matter since we have to wait regardless. It's going to be a very long weekend for the family and for that I'm very, very sorry.

My personal opinion is they reached a verdict yesterday, came in this morning ready to announce it but were told about the 2 hour delay requested by the family and realized that the delay, etc. would likely prevent them from leaving at whatever time the 2 jurors needed to leave.
