I'm local and I've been following this since last night. I looked at the area on google earth but I'm confused about how the waterways connect. Can anyone figure it out? They aren't giving the exact address so it's hard to pinpoint. Any other locals who might know the area?
If that's the case, I really hope they release the video. :please: Mickey Shunick was found because LE released video of a white truck following her, which led to a tip that eventually solved the case.
I think it could go both ways. Some might be too sheltered, and need interaction with children, in order to learn how to socialize. Do we know if BSL's mom stayed home with him or if he was in a daycare all day?
Were we ever told if she rode with the phone in her hand or pocket? Maybe she stopped and took it out and was in the process of dialing when someone hit her and the phone dropped. I could believe that theory.
Maybe I just can't think like a criminal, but even if I hit someone while I was sober, I don't believe turning the phone off would be something I would think about. If it rang, maybe I would do it then. But so far they've only said it was OFF when her mom, sister, and friends tried to call...
JW1893, you mentioned in thread #8 about posting flyers in Carencro. Any chance you made it to Desperado's (strip club)? If the perp is local, there's a good chance he may go there.
I have a taser. I've been having it for about 5 years, and the only thing I had to do was register it on the website. We live in the same area, so unless something has changed, it's easy to buy. They were expensive when I bought mine ~$200, but like I said that was 5 years ago. Also, mine is...
I think I know him too. I'm skeptical of a lot of people but my radar never went off around him. I was actually shocked when I found out he was a RSO, as were all the people I work with. Just wanted to throw that out there.
We saw several people on 4wheelers on the side of the interstate and in the median on our way to Butte larose coming from Lafayette. I can only assume they were searching as this is not an area to ride 4wheelers at all. I can't post a map because I'm on my phone, but this was before we got on...
2:30 p.m. Police Chief Jim Craft says there is so far no reason to believe Brettly Wilson had anything to do with the disappearance of his friend, 22-year-old Mickey Shunick.
Craft confirmed Thurday that Wilson was given a polygraph test, but he said he could not reveal the results of that...
Thanks! I'm local and this is making me so paranoid. I didn't know people rode their bikes around Lafayette in the middle of the night. My husband says it's common though. If you go to bars downtown they watch your bike until you're ready to leave. The vehicle parking can sometimes be...
