I don’t see a way that this is a hostage situation at this point. The threat actor would be working harder to facilitate a ransom payment. He would have nothing to gain waiting this many days to show proof of life.
My only qualm with this is… it's a lot of work obviously to kidnap an elderly woman out of her home and then hold her hostage for many days. One would think it would behoove the threat actor to compromise a tiny bit on his position and send proof of life if it means he will get what he intended...
I don't understand how this conclusion is being drawn. I see it as I'm getting desperate and chasing down one last avenue publicly which is to appeal directly to anyone who might be holding her for ransom, but without any concrete knowledge that someone is or isn't.
The blood makes me think it wasn’t the BIL. If the BIL needed to get her in the car, even in the middle of the night, it would be very easy for him to come over and make up some frantic story like his wife was at the hospital and wanted her mom there or something. I feel like she’d have went...
I understand they don’t want the publicity but it’s a shame that the Mirage hasn’t posted about it/ asked for anyone who may have seen him etc to help aid the investigation. That group would obviously be the target audience that might have info.
