Drug dealers live in their own private society, i.e., "Do me a big favor, and I'll do you one back." It could be as simple as John not ratting out the higher level drug supplier when he got arrested, charged and now serving time.

IMO, Gavin was set-up and it was a planned meeting the night he disappeared. Someone was very, very angry with him. Now who might that be? Who was the last person to see him alive?

I agree with RA3's theories. The thing is, that just because Creech was a drug dealer (a criminal) and he was married to her, so Creech killed Gavin out of jealousy -- just doesn't fly for me, with them going their separate ways with others and living on separate floors. Drug dealing does not...

That puts a whole other wrinkle. This means Creech was in town that night and LAPD believe that they have some proof that John Creech killed Gavin and stowed his car in that storage unit.

We don't know for sure the locker is in her name, but I'm guessing she had access to it. I believe it was a 'spur of the moment' volatile argument type of murder and no real planning in advance. Since there was a storage locker near (Porter Ranch) for the immediate moment, it was stashed there...
