Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #21

They weren't in China's airspace at the time everything was switched off though, correct? They were just passing the border between Malaysian and Vietnamese airspace. I would be shocked if the transponder would ever be shut off in flight. How would China know who was entering their airspace...

Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #12

How could a fire disable ACARS communication without destroying the ACARS system itself? It was operational until the very end of this flight (just not transmitting data with the pings). Autopilot would have to remain operational as well. What are the odds that these 2 systems would continue to...

Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #11

It flew over part of Thailand according to the maps I've seen (near Malaysian border). I think that's got to be what they're talking about.

It could be insurance on the plane itself paid to the airline?

I'm not so sure. That arc is just a narrowed down (by investigators) portion of a ring or circle of distance from the satellite's position. The sightings in the maldives were around 6am and the final ping was around 8am (I think, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong). If you took that arc and...

What do you think happened to Malaysia Flight370?

Could it be this simple? What evidence/indicators definitively refute this scenario and why would the Malaysian authorities commit themselves to the intentional sabotage theory (maybe something else not publicized)? A Startlingly Simple Theory About the Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet

What I'd like to see is the arcs created for all the pings, not just the last one. They have this data of course, but I'd really like to see it to get an idea of their direction of travel from the last known radar position.

Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #8

Question about satellite pings: Does anyone know whether more than 1 satellite could have registered those pings from the plane? I saw something today (don't have a link sorry) that Malaysia has requested satellite data from other countries. If one of those other satellites recorded the final...

Malaysia airlines plane may have crashed 239 people on board #7

It looks like a powered vessel to me. I see what looks to be a wake behind it, and a clear path cut through whatever that trail is on the surface as if it crossed over/through it under power. JMO...

Which makes me think it's on the northern portion of the arc and it landed. Diversionary tactics like this make no sense if they really think it's on the bottom of the ocean.

Thoughts on the current 'arc' from the last satellite ping: If the plane were on the northern portion of the arc there should be radar data from multiple nations that could narrow down the position of the plane. I would imagine if this is the case that they will be able to pinpoint a much...
