Somewhere in this long thread, it was mentioned that the dog was a puppy (hence why it made sense she wouldn't have taken him on a longer walk -- most vets advise against long walks til a dog is over six months).
Anyway, if the dog is a puppy, it makes total sense that they'd be keeping him in...
Thanks. So I wonder then what time she expected her husband would get home (vs when he actually did get home). That info would shore up -- or weaken -- the theory that she left the door open for the dog because she knew nobody would be home to let him out, the next time he needed to pee...
As a dog owner, this jumps out at me. Does this back door open into a fenced yard, or does it connect in some way to the street?
If the back door opens into a yard, maybe she left the door open on purpose -- not a very wise move from a safety standpoint, but I can see someone doing so if she...
Yes, I'm thinking specifically of the hiking trail -- it follows Sausal Creek and goes all the way up to where Highway 13 intersects with Park. You can get a better sense of it from photos in this blog post.
I was glad to see a massive electronic billboard on 880N today seeking information on...
Unless something has changed in the last couple years, that is barely a trail once you really get headed up toward 13 - it’s basically like hiking in a crevice, you’re on a very narrow path maybe four to six feet above the creek at times, hemmed in on either side by sharp steep slopes. There are...
Eh, this kind of super casual but insanely pricey straight-from-REI clothing (from the backpack to the $$$$$ jacket / hoodie) is basically the uniform of every twentysomething tech worker in the Bay Area. Definitely doesn’t strike me as foreign at all.
Wow, I can genuinely tell who here has lived in NYC and traveled on the subway regularly in the last three years, and who hasn't.
I think there needs to be an investigation for sure. <modsnip>
This reminds me of a post on the Bay Area subreddit from two weeks ago where someone was asking where they could camp that would allow them to blast music and party and be “super loud” with friends.
Lots of disapproving responses, but also recommendations for BLM land, Nevada, certain national...
There was one GIANT boat lit up before Christmas that I saw from the freeway (80). I couldn’t tell exactly where it was, but based on where I was on 80 when I spotted it, it definitely was not anchored at the Emeryville marina. If I had to guess, I’d guess that it was off Treasure Island / Yerba...
Yesterday on Reddit in a thread about teenagers missing in the area, someone claiming to be a friend of the family in NC mentioned that major depression was a possible contributing factor here.
I think discussions of human trafficking are way off, regardless. And I think the parents have a flat...
Re: talk here of a possible serial killer — mention in the press conference of a car wash makes me think that she was possibly struck by a car while running (a car which was then cleaned at the car wash). Which would be tragic (and criminal, if the driver hid her body instead of coming forward)...
His name has been released now. It's in this article: http://www.philly.com/philly/news/police-questioning-man-in-disappearance-of-temple-student-20170902.html
A friend of hers on Reddit said she was staying with friends from a local church, and was planning to visit her boyfriend in CT on Saturday (and apparently the quarry is in precisely the wrong direction for a Connecticut-bound traveler). So I don't think she was from Bennington, necessarily.
I check back here every week to see if there are developments. It's haunting that she just disappeared into thin air, while surrounded by so very many people (and with a very detailed sketch of a POI, too).
I can't imagine how bittersweet these weddings must be for the family. I wish them peace.
