    Maybe when she is saying he is the "witness " , she is only telling what he told her while being arrested. He might have been a witness to something but not the witness that saw the abduction and didn't report it police found him.

    I was wondering why the EX didn't report her missing. I would think his phone records would show multiple attempts to call her, several text, and some voice mail messages.

    Thank you for the clarification on the person she sent the text to. I thought it was strange that she waited so long to reply but if she was not meeting her and out of town, she may have missed it for those few hours. So none of the friends she was actually going to meet received that same text...
