Brad Cooper Pleads Guilty to 2nd Degree Murder of Nancy Cooper

I don't get this. Brad was not required to give up his parental rights. He offered it up in exchange for a shorter sentence. Both the judge and DA thought this offer was repugnant, but reluctantly agreed while making statements against it. This was Brad's "win".

Brad Cooper Pleads Guilty to 2nd Degree Murder of Nancy Cooper

It seems to me that this was Brad's idea. Gessner's statement showed he disapproved and Cummings said he wanted Brad to serve a longer sentence.

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

For those who haven't been to Cary, it is the land of the Soccer Moms. On any given Saturday morning you're going to see dozens of athletic women, wearing a typical running outfit with their hair pulled back. It would be strange to not see many runners matching Nancy's general description on...

Not that it matters, but 1) neighbor, 2) best friend's wife, 3) grad school classmate. Also, "smearing" the defendant is part of every trial. The prosecution has to get the jury off the starting position of "We can't believe anyone would kill the mother of his children". Also note, that...

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

Remember the Google search shows he had already selected the dump site before lunch that day. I think he spent the week home alone planning the murder and cover up. I think he either attacked her after she went to bed, or jumped her as she came into the house. This was premeditated, and not a...

I don't have it; those were snippets from the snippets that Sunshine05 has posted on her blog.

From the cross examination of Officer Chappel. Questioned by Kurtz.

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

I think Brad was using private browsing that week, so no cookies were written during that time. Or, he could have deleted them using a method that also overwrites the MFT entry. But, it is ridiculous to say that Brad never used Google before July 11. Any discussion of a "missing cookie" is...

I look forward to it. I believe that if you honestly strive to understand how cookies work, you will come to the same conclusions I have.

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

There no good answer to that question, because there is no such thing as a "search cookie". If you do 1 search or 1,000 searches, you'll have the same number of cookies saved on your computer. The "missing cookie" is just smoke and mirrors that the defense used to try to create a facade of...

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

I think the state of the computer shows that Brad thought he could cover his tracks, that he tried to cover his tracks, but ultimately he failed.

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

No it isn't. Kurtz did a super job making you, and others, believe that, but it is not so. There is not one-cookie-per-search. There is one-cookie-per-google-maps. If there is no cookie, than google maps has never ever been used on that computer. (or someone securely deleted the cookie).

    Brad Cooper

Whoa, Mike. Waking up an old thread. Feel free to reply back on a current thread. Before I answer, let's make sure we're on the same page. Do you think there is one cookie for every search, or do you think Google cookies are per user-and-purpose? Hint: the defense team did a good job...

    Brad Cooper: Appeal info

It's been a while since I posted my theory about the tire tracks and foot prints at the scene. Here's a link to WRAL coverage. http://www.wral.com/news/local/video/3210710/ Watch the first 25 seconds or so. Who sees something that might have a 3' 11" wheel base?

    Recreating the Google Search

When analyzing the order of an MFT there are three things an investigator can look at: 1) The "slot" that the entry for a file takes which is assigned sequentially until it runs out of slots. 2) The record id, which is a number in each entry which is assigned incrementally (first entry is 0...
