I believe that murdering KR had been in the wings for a while. I also think that BR's grandiose opinion of himself (his business acumen, his wealth etc) was so inflated that he would have believed any murder he hatched together (and add to that any other pea brain idea) was completely foolproof...
IMO it was premeditated. When Cctv cameras "stopped" working a few months ago would have coincided with the initial hatching of the plan.
KR wanting to leave after SR turned 21 was somewhere in between the cctv failing and her eventual disappearance.
Wonder if cctv cameras have been analysed...
I wonder if anyone knows whether their companies have been subject to a deed of company arrangement or the directors subject to bankruptcy proceedings? Would explain the transfer of assets as a means to retain/hide them from bean counters whilst taking the creditors for a wash! A common practice...
Just doing some catch up. Abbstar has confirmed everything I believed about the fault and logging. Yay.
Call me a cynic, but it's very convenient that BR has cited a potentially 'common' fault with the merc (amongst other very convenient things about this case)....doesn't ofcourse mean the car...
Truw. However, an older car wouldn't be on a tight service schedule (well unless of course faulty fuel gauge!) , so with potentially thousands of kM clocked up, a trip to my Macedon wouldn't be able to be deduced.
Refuelling tho is maybe a weekly occurrence.
So if you presume Karen...

I had been thinking something along those lines aswell. Given they would have all of Karen's bank transactions, maybe using bank transactions and car computer info I had wondered if it was possible to determine last petrol fill....and how much was left when she went missing...assuming a long...
My understanding is that the testing of the car initially was done by forensic detectives in site at the house. Ive watched enough crime shows to know this wouldn't have involved removing seats, fixed carpets etc as that gets done when a vehicle is taken to a separate facility with high tech...
Completely agree. Perhaps they are going to put something in the boot ie body sized and compare the position of the car on its suspension with the car captured on the CCTV? I also imagine a snapshot of the computer system would be getting taken to see if borce's faulty fuel gauge fairy tale can...
IMHO KR was murdered and it was all over finances. The mere reference by BR to the $850 in her wallet, regardless of whether it was there or not, suggests a financially driven mind as BReVeTTe said above whose partner would really know a precise dollar figure in their spouse's wallet!? Together...
Besides not making any sense, linguistically
'alive or dead' is an interesting sequence to have said given that the saying 'dead or alive' is the colloquial phrasing. To me it suggests a deliberate placing of the word alive before the word dead because the individual is conscious of how saying...
Surely phone info is the first thing that police analyse in a case given that GPS functions on phones (let alone phone tower pings etc) could potentially locate the missing person if the phone were on and in their possession.
Given importance of mobile phone data in many high profile cases...
Having had some insight into an investigation in the past (and reflecting upon that experience), the 'breadcrumb approach' of dropping bits of information bit by bit is a means to achieve both of the above - an indirect confession from the perp (think 'loose lips sink ships') aswell as to...
