France has 5 million Arabs, the majority of them were born and educated in France. The shooter in the Brussels museum was French (Algerian parents) as was the guy in Toulouse who killed 3 soldiers and 4 people (3 children) in a Jewish school. These are home grown terrorists like the tube attacks...

French police are armed but don't shoot as easily as some. The last victim was drawing his gun when he was killed by the terrorists. His name was Ahmed.

The Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons were Danish, not French. Four of today's murder victims were well known French cartoonists but were not responsible for the "Allah" cartoons but Charlie Hebdo was the only paper in France that dared to publish them. Edited to add correction to above...

Latest news is 12 dead including 2 LE. This is a satirical paper which published the "Allah cartoons" a few years back.

You don't "punish" a 4 month old baby especially when he has a malformation of the aorta. The parents will probably say it was an accident and get a telling off and a slap on the hands. Happens in France unfortunately and has got worse during the last couple of years.

Parents have confessed and baby's body has been found in one of the ponds where they spent the evening. No cause of death or any other information released so far.
