R said goodbye at 2.15 and said "See you tonight" to her sister in law (I think she used to often have dinner with her family next door?) so if she planned to go to Frankston to play the pokies she should have realised that to get from Brunswick to Frankston and back would take at least 3 hours...

I remember that night. I live up the adjacent street, in Gould Street. We were going out for tea and I saw that the police and/or fire brigade had just arrived, it was not long after 7. Later on the way back from the restaurant it was lit up with a floodlight and crime scene tape everywhere. I...

In the last thread was a very good explanation by 'Peralta' of how phone pings work (I can't load it up here because the thread closed) If you are still out there Peralta, if Theo texted his friend at 12.20am, then let's say he finished the text at 12.25am and then the phone went into sleep...

Maybe he went to one of those houses in your map? I agree though, we have to wait for more info, we're going around in circles, we can't add to or guess much more at this point.

So therefore his phone was purposely 'switched on' to get the ping the following day? And it wasn't in 'power saving' or 'sleep mode' which I thought were one and the same thing?

Can anyone recognise the two buildings on the left of the screen?

Sorry, I think I still don't quite get it. My Oppo flashes a small white light when someone texts or calls me (when the phone is in sleep mode, not when I have switched it on). So to me this makes sense that the tower has 'found' my phone and 'pinged'. But I'm probably wrong and it seems a...

I read somewhere that a tower would be 'pinged' from where a call (& text?) was originated from (a tower near Antoine). So therefore the 'ping' (Theo's phone location ping) would not be from Antoine's message? I may not be correct though, as I admit I'm not a phone tower expert!

I'm not very techno. I don't quite get how all.this phone message and 'ping' stuff works. I have an Oppo phone and if my phone is in sleep mode if a message has been sent then a little light will flash on the left hand top side of my phone. Do you mean that a 'ping' to the tower will not happen...

A sad case in the Dargo Plains Vic, a young guy died alone in the forest. He was missing for 6 days. His beautiful little jack russell 'Rocky' (who had originally gone missing with him) sat in the middle of the road until a car stopped (happened to be a police car) they followed him and lost...

I'm female and you are correct in your thinking here. I also think that either the sea 'or' a car is involved full stop. I also think that 3 people would be the limit for involvement as you can't keep any more mouths shut than 3. Although much, much more likely 1 to 2 people. So definately no...

Were they pictures of his girlfriend from back home maybe? I will have to look again, they are hard to see. In one picture at least a girl has very long hair like his girlfriend, the photo seems to be in B&W in real life she has red-auburn hair.

That definately makes sense. I initially thought he could have drowned (mainly because if no body found after so many searches it has to be either a car involved or the sea) but then changed my mind because I thought it unlikely he would go swimming on a cold night. But I don't know the...

If you were trying to get rid of evidence surely you would make sure you threw the phone into the water? Could have only been in a rock if you couldn't throw and it missed the water, seems unlikely to just 'place' it on or in a rock? So maybe the phone is still with Theo and the battery died...

Hi Nexus, I don't think the timing fits in with Aloha. He was seen purposely walking away from Jonson St. down Kingsley St. straight after being kicked out of Cheeky Monkey's. For it to be him in the Aloha footage he would have had to go down Tennyson, get mugged and have his phone stolen then...
