When the new video evidence was announced it was in regards to the local LE handing it off to the FBI for enhancement.

The FBI is busy enhancing it. The authorities are being very tightlipped on everything up to this point and with their findings. Hopefully they are close to taking action. I found it rather irresponsible that the police declared the case a homicide after 10 days due to "compelling evidence."...

Getting a PI involved is great, because at least they have experience in gathering evidence and information in a way that wouldn't necessarily hamper police investigation. If there is any sort of 'gag order' on staff at Kaiser, a PI might be able to get through where a regular civilian couldn't.
