Just my personal opinion but the eyes don’t seem to match (from what I can tell) TC’s are more hooded and somewhat curve down, POI’s shape goes up more and don’t appear hooded

Do you know roughly how far? Google is giving me conflicting info
Even if they’re not super close, could still be worth it for the homeowner to send in. There really does appear to be a resemblance, as much as we’re able to tell from not super high quality videos at night and one with a mask

Oh…wow….absolutely can see the resemblance to the POI (as much as we can tell with a mask and different angles.)
Please tell me that neighbor has sent this in to LE

I don’t know the exact ins and outs of the process used in the Idaho case but from what I gather the knife sheath DNA matched to a cousin in a genealogy database and then investigators used a family tree with that cousin to get to BK’s parents. They then obtained DNA from BK’s dad and found it...
It’s standard…if you’re doing your own investigation it just doesn’t really make sense to take the findings of someone else. Every investigative step should be done by you.

Like massguy said PIs are usually brought in and useful for cold cases. And if you keep a rather loose definition of private investigator there have been many cases solved by armchair sleuths and other non-LE people
Not being on the inside of this case I still feel strongly it’s not even close...
i am not LE professional and never have been, but i'm almost certain it's the latter. They may initially visit the place the person was last known to be at just as a good investigation practice, but if they don't have reason to think anything foul happened there, they won't waste their time...
OR....it's an intentional fugazi? hired fall guy and this wasn't a robbery/home invasion at all?
sounds far fetched i know but if a man can harbor extreme anger after not being with a woman for close to 10 years to the point of going out of his way to kill her and her husband, i don't know if...
i've seen men with eyes that look like that, what would be considered more on the 'feminine' side. i think the body appears male, but you never know. could be a woman in disguise.
