just some food for thought....
i was skimming through a book the other day, The Science of Revenge, and according to the author, revenge is the most common motive for murder (the others we know being money/greed and sexual, although sometimes they can overlap with each other)
i've been all...
i don't believe any of the letters were true in the sense that NG was still alive and they truly wanted a ransom. but i'm on the fence as to whether the actual abductor sent any of them. initial reporting was that things were mentioned in one of the letters that matched to how LE found the...
Dad certainly could’ve had a motive since Brian told Renee that Randy was cheating on her and she then subsequently changed her will.
But I’m not sure if I really consider him a serious suspect

many experts believe the case will be solved but that body may never be found....however i have hope. i believe the case will be solved and we will at least know the area her body was taken to, and hopefully something can be recovered to be used in court and give to the family (though i pray...
yep, agreed. i've gone back and forth and that's just what makes the most sense. removing a body if the motive was SA or burglary is rare.
granted, kidnapping for ransom is rare as well (at least in certain areas and populations -- definitely for senior citizens in the US), so whatever the...
i was thinking the other night about Occam's Razor and how it's always brought up in unsolved crimes. So what's OR with this case? i have a hard time thinking of the most likely/obvious scenario, but what i do think is the most straightforward reason is SG. whether it's a fan, or someone who...
rbbm i'm leaning towards my theory being a kidnap for ransom and she passed away (then they still tried with the ransom letter to see if they could get anything without POL because why not), but this is a fair question. my only explanation -- the celebrity factor to SG. or maybe they didn't know...
Thank you for your perspective. I can see how it looks like a sign but I don’t know enough ASL to say for sure. There’s also been speculation that he was high and I think that could account for his odd and slow movements.
Also, I do think some of his hand gestures possibly suggest he’s a boxer...
true but it still gives the window location. plus like MK says how likely would it be that she rearranged the room that much? maybe she didn't have the same exact lamp or curtains or bed spread as back in 2013/14 but i'd bet the bed was probably in the same spot

apologies if this has already been discussed, i went back several pages and didn't see anything but i could've missed it.
on Surviving the Survivor last night they briefly discussed that the POI could've been signing to someone off camera. Someone who knows ASL told Joel that the guy is...
1:47 would make sense as it would shorten the amount of time he was at the actual house (although I’m not sure by how much? But I know we were all surprised at the seemingly 41 minute timeline at the house but a chunk of that could’ve been spent messing with the box)
I’m also curious when it...
i have some hope just because the amount of DNA scientists need to work with these days is mindblowingly small compared to how much was needed years ago.
but still you're right, we don't know exactly what type of DNA was found and it might still be too inconsequential :\

i definitely think this case will be solved, but it might not be as quickly as the Idaho case. it's too bizarre (84 year olds missing from their homes is rare) and too high profile that i just can't believe it will be cold forever. but unfortunately i do think it could take months or even years...
