I agree that this perp probably has a multi-tool...but I've never seen one as big as the object in his/her hand.

Honestly, I have a hard time pulling anything out of these videos...I can create anything out of nothing if I look long enough. I am always amazed at the low quality of most surveillance camera videos.

I do like the garbage bag idea...my smaller bags do come in a box like that. It would be a much more useful thing to pick up.

It would have to impair it to some degree...especially in regard to the sense of determining the source. I personally would HATE to be wearing a helmet in such a situation. Note that military combat helmets don't cover the ears as much as the perp's riot helmet. The riot helmet is for cases...

Somebody suggested a saran wrap (or tin foil) box. That does makes sense as something the perp would find and it does fit the shape profile. Way, way, back someone mentioned using saran wrap to surprise/suffocate the victim. What about a box of large zip lock bags...like the freezer size?

The only hammers I found with such rings are 3 times the price of the cheaper hammers. From a manufacturing standpoint, it would be much more expensive to add the ring.

Yes. It is difficult to tell in the video if something is shiny and metallic or simply bright white. Once the frame grabs are uploaded, you can step through them and decide for yourself. 78% uploaded... So far, that hammer is the ONLY one which matches the appearance...but it is not even sold...

We've got one (or more) folks who are going to distribute in similar fashion from the file I am uploading. I didn't realize that everyone didn't have screen grabs...much better than viewing the video.

In the frame grabs, you can see that the perp pulls out a long(er) pry bar and applies it, then puts it away again on his/her person. The frame grab upload should be done in an hour or so, then you can see for yourself.

All right folks...this is a little weird regarding the hammer. Need some construction guys on this one... Googled claw hammer. I figured that a LOT of hammers had a ring at the top of the grip. Only a few that are displayed do so...and only one has a ring perpendicular to the handle...

After I get the file uploaded to the site I am working with, you can download the zip file as a test and then put the zip OR the extracted files in your dropbox...that way you will be a mirror site. ...my computer went to sleep last night about halfway through the upload...having to restart...

I am uploading a zip file of the frame images to a website. It will hopefully be ready for download in the morning. Downloading is usually faster than uploading, just not sure how long it's going to take. I will post the URL to the file when it is done.
