Both of those for sure and probably a handful of attempts to exclude evidence.

It’s not unheard of if there is a series of crimes from one offender. The state has been involved from the get go — remember, there were like 8 agencies working on this. If there was a crossing of county lines, it kind of makes sense. Politics also matter.

Yeah, it seems weird but whatever. Let him have whatever attorney he wants. It’ll reduce the likelihood of an appeal down the road... except for that he seems a bit incompetent and that’s worrisome. Let’s just hope he doesn’t do anything in these initial stages while FG is awaiting a new lawyer...

Not to make this about anyone besides Danielle, but I wonder why the press (or AG) hasn’t mentioned her brother at all this week. I took a break from this case for a bit so maybe it’s already been discussed. At any rate, I sure hope he’s doing okay. They’re all so strong.

It also helps that the current AG isn’t more focused on her upcoming election... Schuette should have intervened a year ago, imho.

Umm... I’d normally say Oakland County but I don’t think it would have been held in Oakland County anyway because of the publicity. Any attorney worth their salt would ask for a venue change. Wayne Co. special prosecutor would typically travel. It could be Wayne since he’s got connections there...

Well, I would generally agree with you but if the flip side is getting closure by learning the details and having her body, I think they will offer a plea. I know the definition of premeditated, and yes, it fits, but 2nd degree is still usually at LEAST 20 years, and he’s already in prison for...

He will probably plead down to second degree murder. First degree is hard to prove on circumstantial evidence alone but it’s a great prosecutorial tool to get someone to give you information they’d otherwise not give up since it comes with a mandatory life w/o parole sentence.

Yes, and if that's where she is, we should all start counting down the days until hunting season because that'll be the best chance to find her.
