From the KCBD Facebook page "MACKENZIE PARK UPDATE: Police have determined that the body has been in the park for some time. They have not confirmed how long. We will update you as more information becomes available."

I don't usually go to that area of town. That is the not so good side of town, east of the interstate, but from looking at a map it looks pretty close. Mapquest said 4 miles from the park to East Tulane st. Lots of bodies have been found in that park over the years which is why I steer clear.

I never believed the story either, too fishy.

Just saw a preview that they are about to talk about the case on the Today Show.

I am thinking there was probably a cat/kitten. Since DB says her son was sleeping with it. That would be a silly lie for her to tell since it would be easy for her son to tell LE no there was not a cat/kitten.

I think I read in another thread that she was outside drinking and smoking. I don't know if it is confirmed that she was smoking or is a smoker but that could be a reason for staying outside, because she didn't want to smoke in the house. Plus if she was drinking 51 is not too miserable to be...

You are right he did take a huge risk, but LE has made it clear that they let HS run this investigation for the first two weeks or so.

I agree, if the police were told a different motel, then that motel should have been checked right away. They would have quickly learned HS was lying, and then maybe started to figure out much sooner who they were dealing with. I know for the public the LPD is putting on a united front...

per news conference they believe she was killed before initial police call to report her missing, which is what I concluded after hearing about the video. They say the Dollar General sighting was not validated. They are also trying to cover their behinds about not viewing the video tapes...
