I think a person can be profoundly ill and still able to function in some ways. For example, if a person is profoundly depressed, or suffering from profound depression, they may still be going to work every day and doing their job. But after work they only eat from a drive through, don't clean...
That's what I would think. Who cares about ego when a family's peace is at stake? And Paul Holes?! Although I don't think without Michelle McNamara, he would be NEARLY as famous but that's my opinion and not at all related to this case.
I wish mental health was treated more seriously in this country and we had resources available so that perhaps people who are ill would receive treatment, and stop causing these situations. I don't think you can call it a "canard" unless you know the person directly.
I would be very interested...
Even IF they have done everything that could be done, why would you ever turn down an offer for assistance when it comes to a case like this?! Is this purely an ego thing or is there some good reason?
This whole case is wild. "Put that back where you found it" is classic mom advice, except...not in this situation. What a positively wild case. I feel bad for the dad who had to turn his own son in.
I don't believe MH370 is in the ocean anywhere. I don't believe it crashed. I don't necessarily have any great evidence backing this up, but I just can't believe that it crashed and we wouldn't have found it yet.
But the killer wasn't collecting anything per se. I mean, I suppose he was "collecting" them in a pit, but that was more like "dumping" than "collecting".
