I found the time stamp information very interesting as presented on HLN tonight. Sunset there at that time of year is on average around 6:15 to 6:30 pm.
That is IMO a lot of daylight time between "Guys, Down the Hill" and darkness for no one to have seen anything. What am I missing?

I think it's possible he wanted to be close to family, be in a place where he could be found (he may not have anticipated the flooding), and to make it less difficult for his parents to deal with his remains perhaps.

IMHO all this back and forth regarding the fairness of RL's sentence is not actually useful sleuthing for the crime.
It's a reflection of everyone'should frustration with lack of detail in the case. The court seems to have applied a sentence appropriate within their guidelines.
I wonder if the longer time for processing when a suspect is involved is related to ensuring accuracy before clearing them rather than simply trying to find a match out there. It is a curious difference .....
