Earlier news reports were vague with the “vicinity of the park” but the interview in the Chronicle was a little more specific:
“Surveillance video later showed Amy Hillyard in the area of Dimond Park, located at the base of Dimond Canyon and its hiking trails, around 4:30 p.m. the day she...
Correct, LE states she was seen alone on video footage in the vicinity of Dimond Park at 4:30pm. I don’t know if others saw her. There’s nothing in public reports about other people seeing her.
I get your point but there’s a chance she insisted on taking BART. The tone from the beginning from the family has kind of been that she left willingly and can come home willingly. The best case scenario at this point is that she has a boyfriend with a house in Walnut Creek that she went back to...
It can be frustrating but in my experience here on WS, it’s not uncommon for cases to seem like they have stalled for long stretches of time. Also not uncommon to feel like we’re missing key pieces of information. Typically LE will release information only if they need help from the public...
To Walnut Creek and back it sounded like the latter. I just meant if she wanted to be undetected later in the day after 2, she could’ve gotten another clipper card with cash at the station and not register it. I don’t think she took BART again after 2pm. I was just saying how she could do it...
TRACY, Calif. — A community in San Joaquin County is mourning after authorities confirmed a longtime Sikh temple volunteer who was abducted Tuesday has been found dead.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office announced that kidnapping victim Avtar Singh had been located deceased on Monday...
My opinion is that her husband shared the BART details re: Walnut Creek and all of the other details about her purse etc.. because he was being somewhat questioned in the public for not providing enough details about the day she disappeared. I feel like he just walked through the entire day...
Here’s an updated timeline based on the recent Chronicle article. She was back from Walnut Creek by 1:40pm:
“She texted him around 1:40 p.m. to say that she was home, and her credit card was charged for the BART trips to and from Walnut Creek, Chris Hillyard said.
About five minutes after...
I interpreted the BART search to see if she got back on BART to somewhere after she talked to the neighbor at 2pm. But honestly the BART search angle seemed a little bit of a stretch to me and wishful thinking with the friends’. It sounded to me like she used tap to pay to get to Walnut Creek...
I agree, it seems she wasn’t angry, just had enough. I wonder if they’ve searched the parks from the perspective of finding a body vs a live person though. I was thinking the same thing regarding cash. If she is alive and taking a break, she’d need cash or another person to rely on. It does seem...
This sounds to me like they think she’s been kidnapped?? I hate to say it but I don’t understand why they believe she’s alive at this point. I hope they’re right but it’s confusing. Time to bring in additional search dogs to Dimond Park IMHO. I wonder if someone has brought her dog to the park...
