Moo...what she describes is..de-personization or de- realization or..I know there is a word for it. It is usually PTSD originated. I know I have had that experience..not fun. I felt like I was in the back of my mind just watching what I was doing. Very detached. Moo

This is story of local grizzly. The bear was shot by locals eventually which was illegal....so yea grizzlies are pretty controversial on the coast.
Moo...they had bear spray, 2 cans they emptied on it. The salmon are still around so the bears are still feasting. They have been having a lot of bear tourism up there, so the bears are used to people and less afraid. The school did nothing wrong they are very bear aware up there....moo

Moo...I worked with a wedding photographer for a few years. It was very uncomfortable making children/teens stand next to (their new family) and telling them to smile. Fear, distrust, anger OMG..just everybody smile. I as a child was part of 3 marriages plus some in-betweens..call him dad.
Moo...we don't know if the dogs bark at all. Some breeds are guardy, some breeds everyone is their friend and some breeds are silent and don't bark. Also it is how their owners train them...moo

Moo...they were not his parents, they adopted him at 14. It would be culture shock and loss of identity at that age. Maybe no emotional or cultural bond established. His age of adoption is problematic. I read many more stories where adoptive parents have no bond with the adopted child or...
