The thing is is it is MM's room directly above hers. KG's room is above the kitchen. DM heard noise from MM's room which DM *thought* was KG playing with her dog. She probably heard thumping, typical of play-wrestling or jostling with a dog, but was in actuality a murder.

I have wondered this myself... I would think there would be some texts going on, too. 6 calls in 26 minutes gives enough time for the inevitable "why aren't you answering?" "I need to talk to you" "pick up" messages. At the same time, the calls had to be within a few minutes of each other...
