I've been told by a SAR source that it wasn't a lot of blood. The van wasn't even towed by RCMP until a few days ago, that alone tells me there wasn't a significant amount of blood, otherwise it would have been taken quite quickly.

I mean there's a bus from Ukee/Tofino to Victoria, why wouldn't they take that? Sounds way more reasonable than hauling all that gear, I guess common sense isn't so common?

They didn't go missing from the same area, and according to Dan and Ryans family there is no known connection between Ben and the other two. Dan and Ryan were last seen in Ukee, which is 3+ hours from the area that Bens van was found.
