This is what the DA says is the reasoning for being there today.

I'm not really buying the idea that he killed anyone that long ago. He was caught pretty quickly this time around, I don't think he could have kept the other murders under cover for so long.

If the police recovered the money or weed, that info hasn't been publicly released. So far, there's no mention of anything like that recovered by police. Which is why I, and so many other people, do not believe CD's story about how he was trying to sell them weed. If he was, where is it??

I remember reading previously in this thread about how the FBI has gotten involved in this case. Does anyone have any speculation as to what would have made this a national case?

I'm thinking he must've had a metal rod or something, because at least one of the other guys had several tattoos but that didn't help identify him.

I still wonder how they were able to ID Dean's body yesterday but not the others?

I know the feeling, I stayed up until 2 AM last night trying to catch up with these threads and have been compulsively refreshing the thread all day at work. It's really hard not to think about.

Such a sad bit of news, even if it is what we've all been expecting :thinking: I hope her poor family gets some answers soon. They've been on my mind every day since the news of her disappearance first broke. No one deserves to go through this.

As per the Finding Daisy Lynn FB page, a search is going to be conducted in Oberlin, LA this weekend. I do wonder what's lead them to search there.

Looks like the searches are being postponed as of this morning, "until further credible leads are received." Poor girl, this breaks my heart.

I live less than half a mile from the Vermilion and now this is really disturbing me.

After the Mickey Schunick case, anyone would have to be a real idiot to try to hide a dead body there... But then again, you have to be an idiot to murder someone in the first place, so I guess there's always a chance. I just think a lot of locals automatically equate Whiskey Bay with murder now.
